Born in Aberdeen, I grew up in Daviot, Inverurie where I still live. Graduating from Grays School of Art in 1999, I went on to become staff photographer for an Aberdeen newspaper group before going freelance in 2004. Since then, I have maintained and developed my press and commercial photography business based in Inverurie, receiving regular work from local press and authorities.
Family is important to me, they also keep me creative
as do the sights
Scotland’s landscape, the hermitage, namaskard, rodeo, canadian rockies, welcome to colinwood, hitchcock's rebecca, blade, bringing up baby, familiar faces... and new ones
and sounds
wind on a mountain-top, ping of the microwave, jeff wayne's war of the worlds, ella fitzgerald, blondie, dolly parton, sarah mclaughlin, kid rock, ibrahim ferrer, nick warren, esthero, alison krauss, laughter
around me.
